Azure Dragon

Description

In East Asia, the dragon is the embodiment of strength and honour, the bringer of life-giving rains, and a force of good, the antithesis of its portrayal in European mythology. As guardian of the east, the Azure Dragon creates order from chaos and symbolises spring, dawn, and the element of wood.

Xu Xiao Yong’s exquisitely sculpted dragon, clasping a 24K gilded pearl of wisdom as it coils effortlessly through the cosmos, expresses the vitality of the mythical beast. In fine pewter, on a base of polished Nero Marquina marble.

Caring for stone

Wipe down the surface with mild soap and water using a soft cloth or sponge. Avoid the use of vinegar, bleach, or glass cleaners; the acid content will dull the surface. Similarly, avoid using scouring pads and abrasive cream cleaners.
