Goldfish & Peony Plaque

Depicted in varying degrees of sculpted relief, nine ornamental fan-tail goldfish play in the shade of peony blossoms, the water rippled by a gentle spring breeze and inscribed with Fugui youyu 富貴有余, or An abundance of riches.

‘Nine fish’ is a homonym for ‘everlasting abundance’, whilst peonies represent good fortune. Together with the water’s undulating surface, the lively composition conveys a sense of contentment.

Included is a 2cm x 8cm engraving plate for personalisation.
